Cognak
Designer & Developer
My work at Cognak began as a Webflow developer, where I helped the agency streamline, expedite, and improve the quality of websites. However, I quickly established myself as an indispensable team member, capable of taking on any project—whether it was branding, strategy, design, video editing, or UX. Anything creative that our clients needed, I was there to work on it. I soon earned an autonomous role, where Cognak’s principal, Pierce, would grant me accounts and trust me wholeheartedly.
2020- Present
My work as an independent website designer involved managing entire projects, including marketing, client acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, client communications, the sales process, and design and development. My role was always more than just that of a freelance designer, as each client had unique needs. Often, during the discovery phase, we would uncover requirements that extended beyond website design. I approached my work as a consultant rather than just a designer, which taught me a great deal about business and the critical role that design and strategy play.
